Tribute to the Constitution (Sunday, July 4th, 7:00-8:30 pm)

Each Sunday before July 4th we expand our understanding of America's founding principles in a special tribute to the Constitution and to war veterans. This is an evening of inspirational music, theatrical performance, a speech from the essay winner and a key note address from local and other celebrities. This is a non-denominational, non-partisan program.

The 2009 program includes the following:

        * Video presentation honoring soldiers currently serving around the world (from GCS Distributing)
        * Master of Ceremonies: Mark Richardson from Probing America talk show
        * A flag ceremony: by the Veterans of Foreign War, National Guard, and Boy Scouts of America
        * Theatrical re-enactment of 2nd Virginia Convention where Patrick Henry gave his famous "Give Me Liberty of Give
           Give Me Death."
        * Speech: America's Creed, George Marriott
        * Special Tribute to U.S. Veterans, Idaho Falls Fireman bagpipes and drums performing Amazing Grace
        * Feature speaker: Federal Judge Brian Theodore Stewart and co-author of Seven Miracles that Saved America.
        * Song: "God Bless America, Again," written by Dianna Casperson and performed at the National Day of Prayer in
           Washington D.C.
        * Songs: Singcopation,
        * A community choir will perform the Battle Hymn of the Republic. If you are interested in joining this choir please contact

America's Hope Children Patriotic Program (Thursday, July 1 at Rigby High School, 7:00-8:00)

We invite you to join a large children's patriotic choir. Children between the ages of 8 and 13 are invited to sing inspiring music that teaches the principles of the constitution and our nation’s other founding documents (children under 8 are welcome with parental supervision). Children will perform songs as well as skits portraying significant events that took place during the founding of the United States of America. This will be a multi-media show you won't want to miss. Familiar patriotic songs will be sung along with original patriotic music written and orchestrated by Classroom Classics. (www.classroomclassics.com). Parent Information and Registration
You can register any time until June 18th

Cost: $15.00 per child, this includes a special Celebration of Liberty T-shirt for the performance, and a CD of the music for the children to practice the songs at home.

Children's Parade (Saturday, JUNE 26, 12:30 pm)

On each Saturday before July 4th, children have an opportunity to express their patriotism in the Celebration of Liberty children's parade. Decorate your dog, horse, wagon, bicycle, stroller, horse, or make your own float.

Parade route: Parade will begin at the old county courthouse and will proceed down Main Street. It will turn North on state street and will end at the city park on West-1st North—less than 1-mile. Begin to take your place at the courthouse by 12:30 am. Drawing at 12:45. Parade begins promptly at 1:00pm

Please, no motorized vehicles (i.e., 4-wheelers, motorcycles, scooters, go-carts, etc.). Small electric cars that move slow are welcome.
